DSF Parent Ambassador

Jennifer Marasco-Kuhn – PA (Northeast)

Jen is originally from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, and her family currently resides in Verona, PA (near Pittsburgh). She and her husband Chris have been married since 2014 and have two beautiful daughters: Maggie, age 6, and Cora, age 3.  Cora was diagnosed in 2021 at 9 months young with Dravet Syndrome.

Jen is a licensed geriatric social worker and has provided supportive care and resources to families for over 12 years. Due to Cora’s condition, she paused her professional career in 2021 to serve as Cora’s main advocate for all her and their family’s needs.  After finding appropriate nursing care and balance with Cora’s care, Jen returned to the workforce as a Development Associate raising funds for higher education.

As a family, the Kuhns enjoy making and eating yummy foods together, singing and dancing to music, playing outside, and taking hikes, as well as traveling and socializing with friends and family, when able.

Jen attended her first Dravet Syndrome Conference in 2022 as a DSF Parent Ambassador.  The entire family hopes to attend the 2024 DSF Conference together. Jen has loved connecting with other DSF community members, advocating for DSF and raising funds for research and a cure.  Jen helped to create and organize the successful Dye it for Dravet fundraising campaign in 2022 which has raised over $41,405.06 in just 2 years!  She looks forward to continuing to learn, grow, and share her knowledge and skills with the Dravet community in this role as a DSF Parent Ambassador!
