Meet Lori Isom, PhD
In this Researcher Spotlight meet DSF’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Co-Chair, Lori Isom, PhD. As a SAB member, Lori reviews and approves all research grant applications and meets annually with other interested researchers and scientists to discuss innovative and promising research in the field of Dravet syndrome and associated epilepsies at DSF’s Research Roundtable.
Dr. Isom has received numerous awards for research and mentoring. Most recently, Dr. Isom was elected to the National Academy of Medicine, one of the highest honors for a clinician and scientist. The academy recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service and who have made major contributions to the advancement of the medical sciences, health care and public health.
