We are excited to announce the return of our in person biennial DSF Family & Professional Conference on June 23-25, 2022 at The Worthington Renaissance in Fort Worth, Texas. Special thanks to Dr. M. Scott Perry and Cook Children’s Medical Center for their collaboration and planning of this meeting.
We invite all members of the Dravet syndrome community – including families, clinicians, researchers, and industry partners – to join us as we gather in person to hear presentations on the latest advances in research as well as up to date information on clinical trials and patient care. In addition to our exhibit hall, where you can meet and learn more from industry partners, we will once again offer: Super Siblings Camp; a Dravet Patient Activity Room, sponsored by Ciara’s Light Foundation; our Wings of Hope butterfly release; an opportunity for healthcare professionals to earn CME/CNE credits; and evening social events. We are excited to focus our 2022 conference on reconnection and the sharing of the patient experience to bring us all back together. While we will not be live-streaming the conference, all presentations will be recorded and available on-demand in July 2022.
Many community members have expressed their wish to gather together again in real life to learn the latest advances in research and care, while having the opportunity to once again see old friends and colleagues and meet new ones. After much consideration and close monitoring of health and hospitality regulations, we anticipate that we will be able to safely resume our in person conference. Our primary concern remains keeping our community safe, and we need your help to keep one another healthy. We strongly encourage attendees to be vaccinated and receive their booster shot when applicable before attending the conference. We have established a COVID protocol for the conference and we will be monitoring events closely and will adjust our meeting plans as needed to ensure the safety of all attendees.
