Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy Memory Wall
Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy (PAME) is a collaboration among health care providers, clinical researchers, basic scientists, public health officials, patient advocates, caregivers, bereaved families, and people living with epilepsy. This range of stakeholders come together with a common goal of improving our understanding of and working to prevent epilepsy-related forms of mortality, including suicide, accidents, and status epilepticus and with a strong focus on Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).
Since 2012, PAME has convened four powerful international meetings that have advanced research, education and clinical care, while supporting and learning from affected families.
PAME is hosting a one day meeting in Chicago on December 2nd, with the goal to advance progress against all forms of mortality in epilepsy. A key part of this gathering will be a Memory Wall to remember our loved ones who have passed away. Please submit a picture and a memory by November 24th, and email pame@aesnet.org with questions. You do not need to attend the meeting in order to submit a picture and memory.
