Turn Awareness into Action this June!

Each year, Dravet Syndrome Awareness Month – observed from June 1 to 30 in the U.S. – provides a crucial opportunity to highlight the often-overlooked challenges and unmet needs of those living with Dravet syndrome. It is a meaningful time for the Dravet community to raise visibility, share stories, and ensure that the voices of patient families are heard. By bringing this condition into the public eye, we help reduce feelings of isolation, foster greater understanding and build community and support.

With increased awareness comes real impact: earlier and more accurate diagnoses, better-informed clinicians and researchers, and increased engagement from pharmaceutical companies and policymakers. Awareness helps prioritize Dravet syndrome within research, funding and healthcare systems – paving the way for better treatments, resources, and hope for the future.

Here are ways you can participate:

  • Utilize our Awareness Month Toolkit, with assets to support your outreach efforts, including our 30 Days of Advocacy Calendar
  • Download our Dravet Fact graphics for use on social media
  • Participate in our Dye it for Dravet fundraiser
  • Customize your Facebook profile picture with our Awareness Month Frame
  • Join us live on Facebook on June 15th at 12:00pm EST for our 5th annual Remembrance Day video
  • Celebrate Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day on June 23rd, as we join families around the world in raising awareness, honoring those affected, and advocating for a brighter future
  • Request a proclamation from your city or state for Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day on June 23

When we raise our collective voice, we not only shine a light on the challenges, but also on the incredible strength of the Dravet syndrome community. Let June be a powerful call to action!
