Caring for a loved one with Dravet syndrome can lead to significant medical expenses. We understand that the need for support can arise at various stages, and we’re here to help when it does. The DSF Patient Assistance Grant (PAG) Program is designed to help by providing financial aid for essential medical equipment, ensuring patients can receive high-quality care regardless of their financial situation.
These grants are available to cover the cost for medical equipment, therapy tools, and educational resources that aren’t covered by private insurance or other support services. Grants through this program are available globally to any individual diagnosed with Dravet syndrome. Applications are accepted each year through December 1st.
Covered items may include, but are not limited to:
- Durable medical equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, orthotics, cooling vests)
- Therapy tools and devices
- Communication and learning devices such as iPads
Expenses related to starting or maintaining the ketogenic diet
Please note: The program does not cover therapy sessions, medical travel, co-pays, respite care, or service animals. If your requested item isn’t listed above or if you’re requesting more than three items, contact us to discuss eligibility.
Applications may be submitted by the patient’s family, a healthcare provider, or a social worker. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Each applicant may apply once per grant cycle, with a maximum of $1,500 per year and a lifetime cap of $5,000.
