Unique Ways to Give

There are countless ways to support our mission beyond just traditional cash donations!

Create a lasting legacy and help sustain DSF while enjoying significant tax benefits for you and your family. In addition to outright cash gifts, you can support our mission through gifts from donor-advised funds, IRAs, stock, cryptocurrency, and more. Explore these impactful ways to give below.

Donor Advised Funds

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are investment accounts for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations. If you have a DAF, you can use this secure online tool.

This online tool empowers you to make a targeted impact by recommending how you’d like your grant to be allocated, communicating your wishes to DSF, sharing the details of your DAF grant, and navigating to your DAF provider. It’s also a great way to ensure our organization has consistent financial support while saving cash for immediate needs.

Amplify Your Contribution!

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest.

Last year, DSF identified $65,698 in Match-Eligible dollars, a testament to the incredible engagement of our donor base. Remarkably, 53% of DSF supporters have taken advantage of matching gift opportunities—far surpassing the nonprofit average, where over 80% of donors are unaware of their employers’ programs.

Maximize Your Impact:
If you’ve made or plan to make a gift to DSF, check if your employer offers a matching gift program using the tool below. You can also learn more on our Matching Gifts page.

Together, we can make an even greater difference for the individuals and families we serve.

Supporting DSF has never been easier. Through our Payroll Giving Program, employees at participating organizations can make recurring gifts directly from their paychecks to DSF. With small contributions each pay period, your support adds up to a big impact for our patient families and programs.

Use the search tool below to see if your company participates and start making a difference with every paycheck.

At DSF, we are proud of the time and talent our patient families and supporters dedicate to supporting our programs and community. Now, many employers are making it possible to multiply the value of your service through volunteer grants.

Volunteer grant programs are corporate giving initiatives in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where their employees volunteer. For example, if you volunteer your time with DSF, your employer may contribute a financial gift to DSF in recognition of your service.

This is a simple way to maximize your impact — every hour you give could mean extra support for DSF patient families and programs. Use the search tool below to see if your company participates,

Donating stocks allows you to avoid the capital gains tax and if you itemize deductions, you can also take a charitable deduction for the entire donation amount. We’ve invested in this secure online tool that enables you to donate your appreciated assets in 10 minutes.

If you are 70.5 or older and have a traditional IRA, you can use this secure online tool to make a donation from your IRA account. IRA gifts are generally not recognized as taxable income and if you must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) this year, giving from your IRA is a compassionate way to fulfill it.

Using this online tool, you can learn more and fill out the forms from your IRA custodian in just a few minutes, or print out the forms to fill them out offline.
