Michele lives in Orange County California with her husband Gareth and her sons Gavin and Aidan.
After years searching and traveling across the country for a proper diagnosis, Gavin, now age 25, was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome at age 8 by Dr Dravet with the help of Mary Anne Menskies , formally of the Idea League and founder of DSF.
Michele has found amazing support within the Dravet community within DSF and credits the friendships and connections she has made with other parents as the lifeline that has helped her travel this journey of Dravet Syndrome. These friendship span the globe and include a very important local community.
Michele enjoys attending Dravet conferences, attending and representing Dravet Syndrome at EADDL yearly, mentoring newer families and has a very special place for advocating for the adult population.
Michele is an RN who became a stay at home mom to care for Gavin’s 24 hour care.
The family does not let Dravet stop their love of having fun and can be often found at Disneyland, aquariums, museums, zoos, parks and tails.
