Help Us Raise Awareness: Become a DSF Brand Ambassador!

The Dravet Syndrome Foundation (DSF) is excited to open applications for the 2025/2026 Brand Ambassador Program! From May 1 to May 15, individuals from around the world are invited to apply and take part in a mission that is as personal as it is powerful: raising awareness for Dravet syndrome.

Currently, there are 10 dedicated Brand Ambassadors helping to spread awareness through social media—and this year, DSF is aiming to grow that number to amplify its global impact.

What Is the DSF Brand Ambassador Program?

The DSF Brand Ambassador Program is designed for passionate individuals who want to use their voice and platforms to raise awareness for Dravet syndrome. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, family member, friend, or advocate, this program gives you the tools and support to help educate others and build momentum around DSF’s mission.

Ambassadors commit to sharing at least two social media posts per month. Each week, they receive an email with two ready-made post ideas or graphics they can share on their platforms—making it easy and accessible no matter how busy life gets. Whether you choose to share on just one platform or several is up to you!

Participants are also encouraged to share their own journey with Dravet syndrome, whether that’s as a caregiver, family member, or supporter. These personal stories are often the most powerful, helping to humanize the diagnosis and connect with others around the world.

In return, DSF offers Brand Ambassadors:

  • A small welcome gift as a thank you
  • Access to a private Facebook group with other passionate Brand Ambassadors
  • Specialized social media training to help strengthen their impact
  • Recognition for their contributions across DSF’s communications
  • Access to a Brand Ambassador digital tool kit for additional support

“When I saw the post about [the Brand Ambassador Program] I knew it was something that I wanted to participate in. This past year kind of just helped me have a focused way of sharing and I really liked being involved in the program. It’s easy! I really enjoyed it.”

– Brianne Trechter,  2024/25 Brand Ambassador

Why Awareness Matters

Awareness is one of the three pillars of DSF’s mission, alongside research and support. Increasing public understanding of Dravet syndrome leads to earlier diagnosis, better medical care, and more targeted research funding. It also helps families feel less isolated—knowing others understand or are learning about what they’re facing.

When more people are aware of Dravet syndrome, it creates a ripple effect. Clinicians, schools, emergency responders, and the broader community become better informed. This can directly improve quality of life for those living with the condition and open doors to greater funding opportunities for research and support services.

That’s why the Brand Ambassador Program is so vital. Ambassadors don’t just post—they connect. They inform. They inspire. They share their personal journey with Dravet. And most importantly, they help shift public perception, one story or share at a time.

“What I enjoyed most about being a Brand Ambassador is connecting with others. I was able to be as vulnerable as I wanted to be. And [have] gained the support of people I’ve connected with through joining as a Brand Ambassador. I was nervous going into [the program] but I really think that it made our early diagnosis journey that much easier.”

– Dominique Tavares, 2024/25 Brand Ambassador

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to anyone, anywhere in the world, who is passionate about making a difference in the Dravet community. Whether you’re new to advocacy or have been involved for years, if you’re ready to help raise awareness on social media, we welcome your voice.

The commitment period for the next group of Brand Ambassadors is June 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.  If you’re a current or past ambassador, you’re also welcome to reapply!

Being a part of the DSF brand ambassador program has been an incredible experience. To be a part of something larger with the Dravet community is absolutely amazing. To see other stories, to meet other families, just to be a part of something like this has been an incredible honor. And I will take none of this for granted and I am so thankful that we have been able to share our story with the world.”

– Brandee Murray, 2024/25 Brand Ambassador
