Pablo Pluma

Pablo was born in Greeley, Colorado, and raised in the nearby small town of Kersey. For the past 27 years, he has worked in manufacturing as a supervisor at Walker Mowers.
He met his wife, Perla, when they were just 12 years old, and this July, they’ll celebrate 20 years of marriage. Together, they have three children: Abriana, Cruz, and their youngest, Elijah. When Elijah was just four months old, he experienced his first seizure and was later diagnosed with Dravet syndrome—a rare and severe form of epilepsy.

Elijah’s diagnosis became the inspiration behind Cups for a Cause, a heartfelt project Pablo launched to support children living with Dravet syndrome. He handcrafts personalized tumblers for fellow “Dravet warriors” like his son and has sent over 100 of these special cups to families across the country. After attending the Day of Dravet in Denver, Pablo and Perla felt moved to expand their efforts. Each year, they now donate Sami cam monitors and cooling vests to families who can get them covered by insurance

Beyond his advocacy, Pablo is deeply rooted in his faith and actively involved in his church community. He also enjoys riding his motorcycle and barbecuing. One of his long-term dreams is to create a support group for fathers—a welcoming space where men can connect, share their experiences, and learn to barbecue together while supporting one another through life’s challenges.
