It took over our daily life and routine.
What advice would you give to a new caregiver whose loved one has just received a Dravet syndrome diagnosis?
Be strong, push and fight for everything our children deserve. Find out as much as possible about Dravet syndrome.
What moments or achievements have brought you hope and joy despite the challenges?
Our son Billy never gave up despite all his problems he faced. He still managed to get to those milestones that his siblings did. He showed the true meaning of strength and courage.
In what ways has Dravet Syndrome Foundation (DSF) supported you and your family?
Listening to other families going through the same thing, knowing we are not the only ones going through this journey.
What message or piece of wisdom would you like to share with the broader Dravet syndrome community?
Strength, determination, warrior, courage.
Can you describe a moment when you felt particularly supported by DSF and/or the Dravet syndrome community?
When I lost my son in December 2024, the messages of support from other families was very comforting.
