This year, DSF has the opportunity to sponsor a family (up to 4 people) to attend this incredible event, thanks to a sponsorship from Sofie’s Journey.
What does the sponsorship cover?
The sponsorship covers ground transportation, flights, hotel accommodations, stipend for meals and tickets to Disneyland for Wednesday, November 20, 2024 for a family of four, up to $2,500.
How will the sponsored family be selected?
Applications will be accepted starting August 15, 2024 through 5pm EST on September 13, 2024. A committee comprised of representatives of DSF will be responsible for the challenging task of reviewing the applications and determining the ultimate recipient. The recipient will be notified on or before September 20, 2024.
Who can apply?
Selected attendees must be a person with Dravet syndrome and their primary caregiver.
What are we looking for?
- Individual(s) must agree to ‘share learnings’ from attendance with others (including within the DSF support group, through a Decoding Dravet blog post, and on social media). This includes photos/videos of your family at the event.
- Individuals(s) should be willing to attend the entire event – arriving at Disneyland by Sunday, November 17, 2024 and staying through Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, departing on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
- Preference will be given to individual(s) who have not attended the event previously
