Amy Lopez – MA
Amy lives in northeast Massachusetts with her husband Lenny and their two children Becca and Isaias. In 2012 Isaias was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome at 16 months old. Amy quickly became involved in the DSF Facebook group where she found support and lifelong friendships. Amy and her family have hosted and participated in fundraising walks and galas to help support the foundation and their continued search for a cure.
Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a Masters in Education. She was a public school art teacher for 13 years before resigning to be a stay at home mom and to provide the 24 hour care that her son needed. She now works as the Community Education Specialist for the Epilepsy Foundation New England. When Amy is not educating and advocating she enjoys spending time with her family and creating her art.
